Module 01
Franchise Storefront & Digital Asset Management
The storefront is the front door to Marketing Central for franchisees. It combines the asset library, the product catalog, and the ordering interface into a single, faceted-search-driven experience — with fund eligibility and regional filtering built in from the start.
"Allow franchisees to easily find marketing assets, use faceted search to filter and refine, customize, download, place in cart, pay, use Zee/MRA funds, identify favorites and access recent history."
What This Module Does
The storefront serves every franchisee's daily marketing workflow: find the right asset for a campaign, confirm it's eligible for their Zee or MRA funds, customize it with their office information, add it to their cart, and place an order. At each step, the platform knows who they are, what they're entitled to, and what their fund balance is — because that data comes from the Admin System and the fund ledger in real time.
The existing Ansira catalog (~1,093 products) will be migrated as a separate workstream after platform launch. The launch estimate covers the platform infrastructure, not catalog data migration. Liberty's team will manage migration timing separately.
Search & Discovery
Faceted search is the primary navigation mechanism for the catalog. A franchisee shouldn't have to know exactly what they're looking for — they should be able to filter by what they know (campaign season, product type, available funds) and arrive at relevant results quickly.
Faceted Filtering
Filter simultaneously by Campaign, Product Type, Vendor, Customizable flag, Fund Eligibility (Zee / MRA / both / neither), and Region/Language (US / Canada / bilingual). Filters stack; results update immediately. Active filters are displayed and individually dismissable.
US / Canada Toggle
The platform surfaces a single catalog, but a US/CAN toggle at the top of the storefront scopes results to the appropriate country's products, pricing (USD or CAD), and fund-eligibility rules. The toggle is persistent across sessions and defaults to the franchisee's country based on their office location.
Fund-Eligible Filtering
Franchisees can filter to show only products eligible for their Zee Funds or MRA funds. Products display an eligibility badge inline. The filtering is driven by the product's fund-eligibility configuration, not by manual tagging that can drift out of sync.
Quick View
A Quick View panel allows franchisees to preview product details, pricing tiers, and customization options without leaving the search results page. Quick View surfaces the most common decision-making information — including current fund balance context — to reduce clicks before ordering.
Favorites & Order History
Franchisees can save products to a favorites list and quickly reorder from their history. Favorites are associated with their account, not their browser, so they persist across devices. Order history shows item, quantity, customization, fulfillment status, and fund usage for each past order. Favorites and one-click reorder are designed and scoped as Phase 2 fast-follows.
Product Detail & Customization
Each product page provides everything a franchisee needs to make an informed ordering decision and initiate customization. For customizable products, the product page is the entry point to the Design Builder.
Product Information
Product pages display specifications (dimensions, materials, print specs), pricing (base price + quantity tiers), vendor attribution, turnaround time, shipping method, and fund eligibility. For time-limited products (like seasonal campaigns), an expiration date is displayed prominently.
Products support multiple variants — size, paper stock, quantity options — with pricing that updates in real time as the franchisee configures their selection.
Customizable Products
Products flagged as customizable surface a "Customize" button that launches the Design Builder in context — pre-loaded with the selected product's template and the franchisee's office information auto-populated. The franchisee's customization session is saved so they can return to it without losing work.
Non-customizable products proceed directly to cart without a customization step. Some products support download only (digital assets), with no ordering workflow required.

Real-Time Fund Balance Display
The franchisee's available Zee and MRA fund balances are displayed in the storefront header and on product pages, so they always know what they have to spend without navigating away.
Marketing-Controlled Catalog
Liberty's marketing team adds, edits, archives, and reorders products directly in the admin interface. No vendor involvement required for catalog updates. New campaign products can go live in minutes.
Campaign-Aware Organization
Products are organized by campaign, making it easy for franchisees who know they want "Fall Tax Season" materials to find the complete collection quickly, across all product types.
Download-Only Digital Assets
Not everything requires an order. Social media graphics, email templates, and printable PDFs can be downloaded directly. Fund eligibility is tracked for downloaded assets that qualify for reimbursement via claims.
Role-Scoped Visibility
Marketing and Admin users see the full catalog including draft/inactive products. Franchisees see only active products eligible for their office's location and account type. MOPS offices see the catalog but fund-eligible filtering reflects their ineligibility for Zee Funds.
Quantity Pricing Tiers
Products support configurable quantity tiers with automatic price calculation. A franchisee ordering 500 flyers instead of 250 sees the per-unit price break reflected immediately in the cart total.
Every Asset Type, One Repository
Marketing Central is the single repository for the full breadth of Liberty's marketing collateral — not a subset of "online" or "easy" formats, but every print and product type a franchisee orders across the season. Whatever a campaign needs, it lives in one searchable, fund-aware library.
- Banners
- Billboards
- Brochures
- Business cards & Stationery
- Coupons
- Digital banners
- Direct mail
- Flyers
- Posters
- Signage
- Yard signs
The live catalog already spans 25+ product types and roughly 1,093 products across about 30 campaigns. These come into Marketing Central through the deferred catalog-migration phase post-launch, so the repository launches ready for the full assortment Liberty's offices already order.
Beyond Print: Audio, Video & Brand Assets
The DAM warehouses more than print-ready files. The RFP calls out non-print collateral — radio, video, brand standards — and Marketing Central stores and serves all of it from the same governed library. Original source files are warehoused, not just the rendered derivatives, so Liberty retains the masters it can re-edit and re-export.
Audio Assets
Radio spots are stored, previewed in-browser with an inline player, and downloadable for trafficking to stations. Source files are retained, not just compressed web previews.
Video Assets
TV and social video is stored with thumbnail preview and in-browser streaming playback, and downloadable in the delivered format. The original master is warehoused alongside the web-optimized version.
Brand Guides
Logo packs, brand standards, and style documents are stored, versioned, and downloadable — so every office is working from the current, approved brand assets rather than a stale copy saved to a desktop.
QR Codes
QR codes are first-party generated, dynamically repointable to a new destination after print, and carry scan analytics — no dependency on a third-party shortener that can lapse or change terms.
Metadata & Tagging Governance
A repository is only as findable as its metadata. Marketing Central treats metadata as a governed, Marketing-controlled layer — the discipline that keeps faceted search clean as the library grows across seasons and countries.
Custom Metadata Schema
Liberty's Marketing team defines the fields that describe each asset and product — the schema is theirs to shape, not a fixed set baked into the platform.
Controlled Vocabulary & Tagging Governance
Campaign and product-type taxonomies are managed lists, not free text. Tagging from a controlled vocabulary keeps facets clean and prevents the drift that makes search unreliable over time.
Required vs. Optional Fields
Completeness is enforced on upload. Required fields must be populated before an asset can be published, so nothing enters the library half-described.
Bulk Metadata Editing
Marketing can update many assets at once — retagging a campaign, correcting a taxonomy value, or adjusting eligibility across a set — without editing records one at a time.
Metadata Inheritance
Templates pass their attributes down to the derivatives created from them, so a customized asset arrives pre-tagged with its parent's campaign, product type, and eligibility.
Asset Audit Log & Version History
Every change to an asset's file or its metadata is tracked — who changed it, when, and what changed — with full version history for rollback and compliance.
Auto-Retire / Expiration
Stale or out-of-season assets retire automatically on a set date, keeping the library current. This is distinct from product expiry — an asset can be retired from discovery independent of any storefront product lifecycle.
AI and semantic search across this metadata is a planned post-launch enhancement — see the AI roadmap.
